Job Brief:

Wahed is seeking an experienced Country Head to lead the growth of our operations in the United Kingdom. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to increase our market share, expand our customer base, and grow our product offerings in the region. Additionally, this role requires a strong focus on project management and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the successful implementation of new initiatives.

Job Description:
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for the country that aligns with Wahed's overall objectives.
  • Drive growth by increasing market share, expanding our customer base, and identifying new revenue streams.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, partners, and industry experts.
  • Oversee the launch of new products and features, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.
  • Analyse market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Manage a team of professionals across multiple departments, providing leadership, guidance, and support to achieve business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Provide regular reports to the c-suite on the performance of the country's operations, including financial metrics, customer acquisition, and product usage.
Job Specification:
  • Demonstrable experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on fintech, investment management, or related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling operations in new and existing markets.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing teams across multiple functions.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Understanding of local regulatory requirements and market dynamics in the financial services industry.
