Job Title: Senior Payroll Manager (Oracle)

Start Date: Immediate

Location: London

Hybrid: 3 days on site per week

We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Manager to lead and implement a new in-house payroll system after years of outsourcing. This role offers an exciting opportunity to establish and manage a payroll function while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and deliver an accurate, compliant, and timely payroll operation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small payroll team.
  • Establish and maintain payroll systems, controls, and team responsibilities.
  • Manage the Oracle payroll system and ensure changes are controlled.
  • Ensure weekly and monthly payrolls are processed accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to meet financial and audit requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC statutory reporting.
  • Conduct payroll data analysis and reporting.
  • Drive improvements in payroll procedures and best practices.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Manager, ideally within HR, managing both weekly and monthly payrolls.
  • Expertise in payroll legislation, tax, pensions (auto-enrolment), and benefits.
  • CIPP Level 5 qualification.
  • Experience with payroll process controls, audits, and system implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of the Oracle Payroll System.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills for data interpretation and reporting.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
