Payroll Officer

Nine-month fixed contract. Based in Swindon and home. Hybrid three in the office and two from home. Respond to ad-hoc payroll queries and investigate PAYE underpayments/overpayments.
Review and process BACS payments, set up PAYE schemes, and assist staff with payroll issues.
Accurately input payroll amendments, calculate deductions, and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Act as a subject matter expert, review, and verify payroll reports for accuracy.
Communicate with HMRC regarding underpayments/overpayments and manage holiday and CIS schemes.
Apply internal quality procedures to ensure compliance with deadlines and legislative requirements.
