Let's Recycle It Ltd is a plastics recycling company.

As Business Development Manager, the successful candidate will maintain and develop client relationships with suppliers of recyclable plastic materials in their allocated territory (Southern England) and negotiate deals to buy these waste materials.

 

*****Experience in the recycling sector is ESSENTIAL*****

We are looking for someone with knowledge of the commodities we trade and who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with the daily pressure to make deals and convert offers.

The ideal candidate will be organised, have good time management, be good with retaining information and will have good communication skills. A previous role covering sales on the road within a defined territory is preferential; in this role you need to have met or exceeded any sales targets put before you.

 

The role will require that the successful candidate:

- Maintains and develops rapport with existing clients while also creating new business pipelines.

- Follows internal procedure & policy (CRM, Admin, New Company Setup, Company compliance paperwork)

- Finds new clients through prospecting, using both traditional and ‘inventive’ methods of lead generation.

- Maintains detailed logs of supplier status in the company CRM system.

- Maintains an in-depth knowledge and interest of the UK recycling market, always staying informed of key changes and market shifts.

- Be highly organised in the planning of territory with clear and concise area visits.

- Maintains full physical coverage of their territory, including overnight stays where appropriate.

- Possess expert negotiation skills and awareness of budgeting.

- Attends some loadings of materials with understanding of company procedures and paperwork requirements.

- Maintains solid communication with the rest of the Let’s Recycle It Ltd team.

- Maintains regular contact with all suppliers, as well as maintain a personable relationship where possible.

- Manages and follows up on sales leads provided by the support office in an attentive and nurturing manner to convert leads into new clients.
