My client are We are a specialist and rapidly growing, award winning UK Defence consultancy. They also operate in the nuclear, space, transport, energy, logistics, and environmental sectors of the UK.

They are looking for a Business Development Lead to join them. This is a really exciting opportunity as you will be part of a growing company that work on some of the most advanced programmes in the Defence sector.

The purpose of the Business Development Lead is to lead the growth and development of our clients key NATO account including NATO HQ, Allied Command Transformation (ACT), Allied Command Operations (ACO), the NATO Communications Information Agency (NCIA) and other NATO entities. You will identify and help win new business within NATO directly, via frameworks and through collaborations with other businesses.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and developing the NATO account, managing own lead generation.
  • Managing business performance for the NATO account, meeting business growth expectations.
  • Reporting regular metrics in relation to current and future trends for the NATO account.
  • Monitoring NATO strategies and trends in order to identify NATO account needs and their business drivers to maximize opportunities.
  • Designing and executing a NATO focused account strategy aligned to business goals.
  • Strategically engaging NATO customers, competitors and partners, providing effective solutions.
  • Attending NATO customer meetings, events and exhibitions as required, providing a report afterwards to Directors and Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
  • Working with project management and technical teams regarding NATO requirements, providing bid input, supporting resource allocation and technical delivery.
To be suitable for this role you will :

  • Proven account management and business development experience within Defence, particularly NATO
  • Ideally you will have Experience working within the international defence environment
  • Technical knowledge, experience and business networks within the Defence sector

Role: Business Development Lead
UK Based (Travel to Europe and USA maybe required)
Salary: 80-100K plus exceptional Benefits
