Supplier Quality Manager

A fantastic opportunity to become a key leader within Our Client's Supply Chain Quality team, driving continuous improvement, process control, and Quality Assurance techniques across a variety of defence projects.

Job Title: Supply Chain Quality Manager

Salary: Circa £60,000 (+21% Bonus [Annual])

Location: Bolton or Stevenage (Relocation package may be available)

Dynamic (hybrid) working:

  • Average 1 day per week on-site at Our Client.
  • Other days at supplier sites or remote working.
  • Initial short-term on-site presence will exceed 1 day per week to support knowledge transfer and skill sustainment activities.

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after the offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).

The Opportunity:

  • Senior team member within the growing Supply Chain Quality Team (Deputy to Head of Quality Assurance – Supply Chain UK).
  • Ensuring team capability to provide sufficient supply chain Quality Assurance to internal customers.
  • Proactive and driven mindset with Quality Management and Quality Assurance experience.
  • Key point of contact relating to supply chain Quality Assurance activities.
  • Support wider team objectives and implementation of transversal projects.
  • Key interface for Supply Chain Quality activity across allocated suppliers and projects.

Leadership

  • Experience in leadership involving the improvement of products and processes.
  • Technical product and process support to the wider supply chain Quality team.
  • Strong communication skills aligned with our values.
  • Project Management Experience from a Quality perspective.
  • Supports cross-training of other quality team members.
  • Proactive and driven work ethic with a passion for Quality and continuous improvement.

Strategy

  • Supports the Head of Quality Assurance in deploying objectives related to Quality targets and milestones.
  • Implement wider team objectives and support transversal projects.
  • Drive leading indicators within the function and support other functions as appropriate.

Quality & Supply Chain

  • Primary Quality Authority for supply chain activities.
  • Identify Quality risks and develop mitigation solutions to assure supplier Quality performance.
  • Develop robust processes with suppliers in line with defined quality tools and techniques.
  • Assure compliance with process requirements and contractual standards.
  • Open to candidates from Automotive, Aviation, and Manufacturing sectors.
  • Calm under pressure and adaptable to unexpected changes.
  • Practitioner of QA problem-solving methods.
  • Qualified to lead audits to the AS9100 standard and facilitate corrective action management.
  • Implement APQP tools for new development and mass production (Process Mapping, FMEA, Control Planning, MSA).

Management Systems

  • Experienced Quality professional with expertise in implementing Quality systems.
  • Supply Chain Quality Management and performance techniques.
  • Adherence, maintenance, and improvement of quality processes.
  • Manage supplier Quality dashboards, KPIs, and data analysis to drive continuous improvement.
