This newly created role involves overseeing the Sales and Retention (D2C) department as well as defining new sales opportunities across various strategic B2B growth areas, including advertising sales (for our award winning magazines Ferment and Glug ), government trade association deals, as well as our new craft beverage online platform, Eebria .
Sales and Retention Management: Collaborate with the CXO and current Sales and Retention management structure to develop and implement strategies to increase subscriber acquisition and retention. Oversee the Sales and Retention team, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management. Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Develop and execute targeted sales campaigns and promotions to drive growth.
Advertising Sales for Magazines: Work with the current team to explore and develop new advertising sales opportunities for our award winning beer and wine magazines, Ferment and Glug. Create compelling advertising packages and proposals that meet the needs of advertisers while aligning with our brand values. Establish and manage sales funnels for ad sales, utilising the relevant sales software such as HubSpot, ensuring a full understanding of the sales cycle, process execution, and accurate reporting and target setting.
Negotiate and secure deals that align with our business objectives and enhance our market presence. Determine and manage the sales funnel for government trade deals, ensuring a thorough understanding of the sales cycle, process implementation, and comprehensive reporting and target setting.
B2B Sales for Eebria: Help drive the growth of our new craft drinks B2B online platform, Eebria. Develop and implement sales strategies to attract and retain customers, primarily on-trade and off-trade premises such as bars, restaurants and farm shops. Build and manage sales funnels for B2B sales, ensuring a full understanding of the sales cycle, process adherence, and detailed reporting and target setting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales strategy, leadership, team-building and a passion for driving business growth. This role requires working from our newly designed office based in Edinburgh’s West End 3-4 days per week.
You are a strategic and results-oriented individual with a passion for sales and customer retention. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and can manage multiple projects effectively. Your collaborative nature and excellent communication skills enable you to work well with various stakeholders to support and optimise our sales initiatives.
Bachelor's degree. Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in a senior sales management role.
Strong understanding of subscription-based business models.
Demonstrated success in building sales teams and developing and executing sales strategies.
Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach.
