We are excited to offer an incredible opportunity for an experienced Head of People Operationsto join our friendly, fun team in which you can truly make a difference. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the full spectrum of people operations and talent acquisition.

The Head of People Operations will play a crucial part in supporting the Chief People Officer in the effective application of the people strategy through delivery of key people and talent projects, partnering with senior leaders on the delivery of change programmes and optimising resource processes, and significantly contributing to our overall business objectives.

This role demands exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders and drive change within the organisation.

A little about what you will be doing

  • Operational ownership of reward for the Group, ensuring good practice around evaluation, benchmarking and remuneration decisions and processes.
  • Develop commercially focused talent strategies to drive a strategic and operationally effective, best-in-class, Talent function focussing on acquisition, development, and management of talent, that in turn, delivers against the People Strategy and enables to business to realise its strategic objectives through its people.
  • Line Management of the People Operations and Talent team members
  • Provide high level employee relations advice and support to senior stakeholders, providing practical support where required and leading on any employment tribunal claims.
  • Act as subject matter expert on reward and remuneration, supporting the CPO in the creation of Board papers
  • Deputise for the Chief People Officer in their absence and/or when required.
  • Ownership of the design and content of Job Descriptions for the Group.
  • Creation of an organisational design framework, utilising Evaluate software to help define job levels within the PG structure.

In order to be considered for this position

  • Minimum 5 years generalist HR experience at an operational and strategic level, particularly in employee relations, resourcing, talent and reward.
  • Level 7 CIPD or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience is desirable and an advantage.
  • Proven experience in leading a People Operations or Human Resources department.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and mentor a team of HR professionals.
  • Exceptional rapport building, conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of a range of HR systems and tools including HRIS, ATS, Reward and L&D. Experience with Hibob is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience with reward changes and frameworks
  • Experience of creating commercially sound, fact based and compelling business cases for change and improvement, up to Senior Management/Board level would be desirable.
