As Information Security Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to protect operations from Information Security Threats. You will be responsible for their information security policies, processes, and programmes to provide assurance of ongoing statutory and regulatory compliance and will work alongside their IT Operations Manager to monitor and maintain their ISO 27001 Information Security Management System. You will work on future security standard implementation plans and help support their clients Information Security and Information Governance requirements.
Ensure an ongoing culture of information security throughout the business.
Keeping up to date with developments in IT security standards and threats.
Implementing a SIEM to monitor activity across the IT assets, and those operated on behalf of their customers.
manage & drive the Risk Assessment process, working with stakeholders to reduce risk to a minimum acceptable level.
Perform Security Risk Assessments and identify ways to minimise threats.
Creation of new information security strategies, project execution and implementation of initiatives.
Incorporate information security requirements into the daily business operations and ensure subsequent processes are supported and audited.
Translate security risks into actionable requirements and maintain the lnfoSec risk register.
Developing and rolling out a continual programme of information security education across all employees.
Monitoring and reporting of ISMS performance to senior leadership team.
Proven previous experience working within a similar Information Security Manager position.
Previous experience in working with/establishing an ISMS and the identification, mitigation and management of risk and security.
Excellent understanding of Data Protection and GDPR.
Experience selecting and implementing a SIEM, including hands-on experience for the configuration of the SIEM to minimise noise and across multiple logging sources.
Management of lnfoSec risk register, assessment, and mitigation of treatment plans.
Ability to work independently and manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
Proven ability to establish and implement information security policies and procedures.
Ability to display strong verbal and written communication skills, especially involving technical documentation and report writing.
Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the information security threat landscape and associated countermeasures.
Hold a current information security certification such as ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
