The Global Information Security (GIS) team is tasked with the strategic development, implementation, oversight, and management of information and cyber security across Computershare's global operations. By collaborating with various business units and support functions, the GIS team aligns with business goals while minimizing overall risk.

Your Role

The Global Security Operations team is dedicated to providing a comprehensive suite of technical security controls and monitoring services across all Computershare environments worldwide.

The Information Security Specialist position involves hands-on responsibilities for the deployment and upkeep of both on-premises and cloud-based security infrastructure. This role emphasizes the integration of cloud and on-premises security systems, with opportunities to engage in various technical information security initiatives and enhance skills in leading technologies.

As part of a global team of information security experts, you will deliver advanced technical security services for critical applications and infrastructure, ensuring resilience against both current and emerging cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain technical security infrastructure and policies.
  • Develop innovative technical solutions and security toolsets to address vulnerabilities and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Create, implement, and refine SIEM event correlation rules to effectively filter security events.
  • Establish and optimize Web Content protection rules to manage security events.
  • Collaborate with the Security Monitoring team to defend the enterprise in line with established protocols.
  • Document standard operating procedures and protocols.
  • Engage with Threat Intelligence and Cyber Assurance teams to monitor and analyze industry sources for emerging threats.
  • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with global and regional technology teams.
