Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene. It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better. The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week including nights and weekends. 37.5 hours per week. Where you will be working Location: Ballington Gardens, Leek, Staffordshire ST13 5LW You will be working at Ballington House, a 13 bedded mental health rehabilitation hospital that provides services for women with complex mental health needs. The environment at Ballington House offers a pathway from admission to discharge and for those that require more in-depth rehabilitation a two bedroom is available as part of this journey. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to support women who often have complex mental health and co-morbid conditions.
