**IPRS MTS **provides custom solutions for ambulance transport services including high dependency, bariatric and mental health transfers. Our knowledgeable team has the skills and expertise to make your patient’s journey reassuringly stress-free, taking care of all the clinical and logístical elements for you.

We are growing our fleet of ambulances and response vehicles to better meet the increased demand from our clients.

**Position**:
We are looking for a** Secure Ambulance Attendant** to Support IPRS MTS secure transport service.

**The Role**:
**The Secure Transport Attendant **plays a vital role in supporting and assisting people with mental health conditions during transportation to and from healthcare establishments in the UK. This position requires a compassionate and empathetic individual who can ensure patients’ safety, comfort, and well-being throughout their journey. The Secure Transport Attendant works closely with healthcare professionals and transport teams to facilitate seamless transportation services for individuals with mental health needs.

**The responsibilities include**:
**Transport Assistance**:
> Accompany individuals with mental health conditions to and from healthcare facilities, ensuring their safety and comfort during the journey.

**Patient Support**:

- Provide emotional support, reassurance, and encouragement to patients during transportation, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their mental health needs.

**Communication**:
> Maintain effective and professional communication with patients, healthcare professionals, and transport teams to ensure coordinated and efficient services.

**Crisis Management**:

- ** **Recognize and respond appropriately to any potential crises during transportation, following established protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of the patients.

**Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to patient transportation, including any observations, incidents, or changes in the patient's condition.

**Equipment and Supply Management**:
> Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies, such as medical aids or restraints, are available and utilised adequately during transportation.

**Safety and Compliance**:
> Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols during transportation, including infection control measures and using personal protective equipment (PPE) properly.

**Training and Development**:

- ** **Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills related to mental health transportation and care.

**Collaboration**:
> Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, social workers, and support staff, to facilitate seamless coordination of care for patients.

**Confidentiality**:

- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information and adhere to data protection regulations and policies.

**Who are we looking for?**

**Requirements**:
**To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following**:
**Experience**:
Experience working in a similar role, preferably in the mental health or healthcare sector.

**Skills**:

- Knowledge and understanding in the Mental Health Act

> Knowledge of mental health conditions, their symptoms, and appropriate support strategies

> Excellent communication and people skills to establish rapport with patients and healthcare professionals.

> Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations and demonstrate practical crisis management skills.

> Strong organisational and time management skills to ensure timely and efficient transportation services.

> A valid driver's license (where required) and a clean driving record minimum of 6 points.

> The willingness to have screening procedures and background checks as required.

> A willingness and flexibility to work shifts which include days, evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays, which are based on operational requirements of the business.

**Other information**:
**Salary: £14.00 per hour.**

**Working Hours**:Flexible.** 10 to 12-hour shifts.

**Job Type**:This position is a contractor role.
