HMP Channigs Wood are looking to add additional Security Escorts to the growing security team.
To ensure the safety and security of the contractors, staff and prisoners during periods where large building contractors are carrying out work on site within a HMPPS establishment. You will also ensure that no unauthorised persons or items enter the establishment/ building site. This is an entry-level position, perfect for someone looking to pursue a career in the prison services. 10ph (Inclusive of Holiday Pay Accrual)
Monday to Friday (37 hours per week minimum). Candidates are encouraged to be flexible as these hours could change to meet contractors' demands. This is the standard sociable shift pattern, however individual contracts may vary.
Holiday:
All vacancies offer 33 days of annual leave in addition to the basic rates. Some Escorts will benefit from long-term contracts and there is also the potential, once trained, to work in other prisons both locally and nationally.
Checking in contractors and their tools
* Searching Contractors
* Supervision of contractors while on site
* Successful applicants will have a background in customer services or security, and will be assessed based on the following competencies: Acting with integrity, respecting others, building relationships and team work, communicating effectively, developing self and others.
* All applicants must be willing to undergo security clearance and identity checks, including a Basic DBS.
Training:
Full training is provided by the establishment/ department. Training time will be paid at the standard hourly rate.
