We are delighted that you are exploring the role of Chief People Officer at Greater Manchester Mental Heath NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH). The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of our People Strategy in line with the Trust's overall strategic objectives and the local and national people agenda.
As a member of the Board of Directors, they will have collective responsibility for building and shaping a positive organisational culture that motivates, inspires, and drives quality improvement, with personal accountability for delivering inclusive, high-performing People and Organisational Development services to meet the needs of the organisation and workforce.
They will foster and role-model collaborative relationships with internal leaders across clinical, operational, financial, strategic and quality improvement specialisms, and with external partners at a place and Integrated Care Board (ICB) level across Greater Manchester.

As the most senior lead for the People agenda, the post-holder will role-model the Trust values and drive a culture of compassion, inclusion and civility through a range of initiatives and in all the practices of the People Directorate.
Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust employs over 7000 members of staff, who deliver services from more than 160 locations.
We provide inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bolton, the city of Manchester, Salford,Trafford and the borough of Wigan, and a wide range of specialist mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester, the north west of England and beyond.

Ensure effective monitoring and measurement across the People agenda to drive performance.
Ensure the provision of timely, high quality information to the People, Culture, andDevelopment Committee, providing assurance that the Trust is working in the best interests of its people and towards its ambition to be an employer of choice within all of the communities we serve.
Work closely with all key stakeholders to shape the development of a high-performing People service that builds capacity, capability and culture to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Ensure the development of workforce information systems to support a digital future in line with Trust and ICB ambitions.
Interpret and anticipate national and local health policy to ensure strategic people plans support delivery of high-quality patient care.
Set clear direction annually and over the longer term for the People agenda, ensuring that all parts of the Trust are delivering against our ambition to be an employer of choice partnerships.
Master's degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject
A comprehensive understanding of the NHS landscape, including Integrated Care Boards & Systems, and the role that the People agenda plays in building capacity, capability and culture to ensure high quality patient care
