These roles are not hybrid, officers are expected to attend the work place in person every day.Afghan Speaking Resettlement & Migration Officer - Early Help and Children's Families ServiceWe are looking for an Afghan speaking Resettlement & Migration Officer to join our Resettlement and Migration Team in the Early Help and Children and Families Service. The team offer wrap around support to all sanctuary seekers in Tower Hamlets including Ukrainian

and Afghan refugees and asylum seekers. You will provide advice and support to help residents settle and integrate into the community ensuring that they have access to employment, education, and leisure activities. You will consider safeguarding needs and

will make referral to statutory agencies were necessary. The role is office based in Tower Hamlets Town Hall situated in vibrant Whitechapel. However, officers are expected to carry out duties in many different environments within the community including but not exhaustive, family homes, schools, jobs centres and

asylum hotels. Travel cards are provided for journeys within working hours, not for journeys too and from work. The Resettlement & Migration team is a multilingual team, who coordinate and administrate the Government's Home for Ukraine and Family visa schemes, Afghan resettlement schemes and offer wrap around support to all new arrivals into Tower Hamlets including other

refugees and asylum seekers on government resettlement schemes. The team offer regular check-ins with those on the various schemes by telephone and home visits and provide full support to new residents and ensure that they are given all the necessary tools

to settle in the borough. The team also offer a duty line that is available for professionals and residents to contact should they wish to enquire about support available for a sanctuary seeker.
