The company we represent, which deals with special projects, is looking for a highly competent and driven Project Manager to join their vibrant team in Reading. They specialise in handling diverse and complicated projects in the United Kingdom, Europe, and around the world. Projects use a variety of modes of transportation, including road, air and sea containers, according to the specific needs of each.

The ideal applicant will be skilled at understanding project needs, managing processes, and dealing with challenges as they emerge. The Project Manager will focus on stakeholder interaction, including weekly meetings with suppliers and key stakeholders, to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager

  • Meet with top management and clients to determine project needs, timeframes, and budgets.
  • Create detailed project plans to guide clients, personnel, and project teams, and revise them as needed to reflect changing requirements.
  • Identify and assign project responsibilities according to staff members' skill sets, expertise, and strengths.
  • Monitor project performance to guarantee timely delivery.
  • Prepare and provide project status reports to clients, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with appropriate parties to ensure efficient project implementation.
  • Develop strong leadership, customer relations, and communication skills to successfully communicate with all project stakeholders.
  • Manage and address any difficulties that develop throughout the project's lifecycle.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable legislation and standards.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify effective components and areas for improvement.

Requirements of the Project Manager

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in a comparable sector.
  • A solid understanding of project management processes and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to manage numerous projects concurrently and work under pressure.
  • Proficient with project management software.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed for the assignment.
