The story of the Geylan family begins in the 19th century with a grandmother who prepared custom-made clothes for Ottoman pashas. Brothers Muharrem and Ferhan Geylan, who have always remained loyal to the family's craft heritage, followed their passion for design and custom-made objects and opened a boutique jewelry store in Bursa Grand Bazaar in 1980.

The Geylan brothers, who quickly became known for their different approach to jewelry design, moved Gilan to Istanbul after a while. When the inherited craft culture and passion for design that the two brothers grew up in are blended with the inspiring magnificence and unique cultural heritage of Istanbul, the doors of a brand new world open before them, and thus begins the journey of Gilan's transformation into an internationally recognized exclusive jewelery house.

Creating extraordinary and rare pieces for the strong, independent and modern women of the 21st century, the Geylan sisters are personally involved in every stage of the process of transforming carefully selected precious stones into fascinating designs, while they have only one passion: to create unique jewels and works of art that will be passed down from generation to generation.

Inspired by the spirit of Istanbul and the Anatolian lands, a cultural center where the mystical east meets the modern west and the past flows into the future, Gilan always continues to grow and develop.

In doing so, it influences and transforms art, culture, design, innovation and the world of high-quality luxury jewelry.

Continuing to grow and develop with 8 boutiques in Turkey, Gilan continues its activities. With the boutique to be opened in London Peninsula Hotel in 2024, it will be the biggest expansion after America.

We are looking for "Sales Consultant" who meet the following qualifications for our The Peninsula London Boutique, which operates in the field of Luxury Jewelry Retailing.

General Qualifications and Job Description:

  • Preferably with at least 3 to 7 years of work experience in luxury jewelry.
  • Our preference is for someone with a luxury jewelry experience and client base.
  • Our first choice is for someone who has worked in a well-known local luxury jewelry company in London.
  • We are also interested in someone with work experience in luxury watches retail, sales, and marketing departments of five-star chain hotels, or sales consultants in luxury retailing, especially watches.
  • Those who want to have a career in sales and jewelry retailing.
  • Fluency in Arabic or Chinese is a plus.
  • Advanced sales skills and customer relationship management.
  • Values personal development and education.
  • Job Time: Full Time / Shift and Schedule

Sales and Service Competencies:

  • Brand conscious; can provide a unique customer experience.
  • Able to convey the brand passion, values, and heritage to Gilan customers.
  • Open to innovations and change.
  • Strong communication skills and a team player.
  • Highly representative, responsible, positive, and friendly.

Daily Boutique Transactions:

  • Able to comply with boutique policies and procedures.
  • Able to follow all sales procedures and instructions.

Main Accountabilities:

Sales and Service Achievements:

  • Ensure a unique and exceptional client experience during a sale.
  • Maximize sales opportunities deriving from any entrance in the store.
  • Meet individual and boutique KPIs/targets (both quantitative and qualitative).
  • Transmit the passion, values, and heritage of the brand.
  • Handle all clients/prospects entering the store for whatever reason (browsing, purchase, after-sales, complaints).
  • Perfectly master the steps of a sale (welcome, discover and understand, convince, close, and develop).
  • Develop High Jewellery business with existing clients.

Client Relationship & Portfolio Development:

  • Cultivate strong client relationships and develop client loyalty.
  • Enrich CRM database with client portfolio.
  • Participate in client events and perform all CRM 1 to 1 activities.

Daily Boutique Operations:

  • Respect all brand & boutique policies and procedures.
  • Apply all sales-related procedures and guidelines (discounts, security, legal, etc.).
  • Ensure that all front areas of the shop are neat and clean and products are displayed as per VM guidelines.
  • Assist with special projects when requested.

Qualifications / Key Skills:

  • Experience working in a luxury or client-centric retail environment.
  • Strong history of customer service.
  • Fluency in Arabic or Chinese is a plus.
  • Curiosity to discover and delight our clients leveraging a remarkable brand heritage experience.

  • Networking and clienteling abilities.
