Factory/Shop Floor Supervisor - Temp to perm - Maldon - up to £15.00 per hour We are looking for an experienced Shop Floor Supervisor to join our local client on a temporary to permanent basis with a long term goal of progressing within the business, moving into Production Control and working towards becoming a Production Manager in the future. This role will require the successful applicant to manage a team of 18 people on a daily basis, manage their workloads, the equipment on the shop floor and work with the team to deliver productivity and output targets whilst developing excellent working relationships with the team throughout the business. We are looking for applicants who have previous experience in a similar role, who are production oriented and excel when working to deadlines and business targets. If you are looking to join a business who can boast exceptional longevity of service for their staff and pride themselves on offering internal progression and promotion to those within their team, then please read on. Duties: Maintain a safe working environment: monitoring housekeeping, practices, and equipment. Ensure team members wear the correct PPE at all times. Identify potential process improvements within the area and work with Senior Management to implement changes within the facility. Organise the daily workload of the team to ensure that targets are complete and the area is run efficiently e.g. machines are optimised and are run at correct running speeds, issuing jobs daily to the team. Managing any staffing issues, managing and maintaining staff absence and tracker. Aim to reduce internal wastage. Monitor and maintain consumable and tooling stock levels and ensure timely completion of stock takes. Identify training opportunities and requirements for the team and ensure that this is addressed. Having a hands on approach to daily tasks, leading from the front to ensure work is completed to a high standard and meets client demand.The Person: Previous, recent experience within a similar role is essential Ideally applicants will hold a fork lift license but this is not essential A background in electronics would be ideal but again, not essential Applicants must have excellent communication skills both verbally and written Computer literate We are seeking reliable applicants who can demonstrate this through their work history Additional Information: 28 days annual leave (increases with length of service) Free parking Temporary to permanent position - our client are looking for someone who would like to develop into a Production Manager in the future Up to £15.00 per hour - once taken on permanently, annual salary will be reviewed KSLondon Kelly Services are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this role.
