Job Purpose:

To manage the movement of jobs and job cards around the shop floor, ensuring efficient production processes and timely delivery of products.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Update the MRP System: Consistently update the Material Requirements Planning system with individual job locations to ensure accurate inventory management.
  2. Job Movement and Tracking: Move products around the manufacturing facility from material stage to final inspection and dispatch, minimizing downtime and optimizing production flow.
  3. Material Control: Control all materials, tooling, and components through production to delivery, ensuring seamless supply chain management.
  4. Production Scheduling: Work to a daily/weekly production schedule in line with manufacturing capacity and customer demand, ensuring timely delivery of products.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the Shop Floor and Production Control Supervisor to ensure efficient loading and progress of works to meet target dates, participating in daily stand-up meetings to discuss production updates.
  6. Quality Assurance: Assist in wrapping and packing of completed goods for dispatch, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to customers.
  7. Performance Metrics: Achieve monthly sales targets and on-time delivery (OTD), identifying areas for process improvements and recognizing bottlenecks that could delay the manufacturing process.
  8. Process Optimization: Efficiently move jobs between various stages of the manufacturing process with minimal downtime, identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance production efficiency.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Recognize areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance production efficiency, working with Production Controllers to ensure continuous job progression through manufacturing stages.
Requirements:
  1. Strong Organizational Skills: A strong organizer is essential to manage multiple tasks and prioritize production activities.
  2. Technical Skills: Good working knowledge of Excel is essential, as well as strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with production teams.
  3. Computer Literacy: Must be numerate and computer literate to manage production data and systems.
  4. Manufacturing Experience: Manufacturing environment experience is highly desirable but not essential, as training will be provided to ensure a smooth transition.
Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly rate is GBP14.50 per hour, 39 hours per week, currently worked over 4 days but may require moving to 5 days in the future. 195 hours holiday per annum, plus bank holidays, contributory pension scheme, and Private Health Care Scheme after qualifying period, onsite parking.
