Job Overview

As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of the fibre upgrade programme end to end in a designated region to the agreed targets and release of the homes passed. Ensuring there is an agreed programme plan in place with the delivery partner(s) to meet the programme requirement with key deliverables and milestones agreed, set, and managed.

Location: Bellshill (hybrid working)

Pay : £600 per day through umbrella

Days: Monday to Friday

Contract: 26 weeks

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the regional build partner to ensure all targets are met or exceeded and the works are carried out in time to cost and with top class quality.
  • Ensuring the build partner has all the required training to perform the upgrade.
  • Responsible for ensuring all build activities are completed as per the agreed project plan to meet and exceed the homes passed delivery targets required to deliver the programme.
  • Present the programme to the local authority in accordance with the project plan. Forge and maintain relations of trust with the regional local authority and manage expectations on a day-to-day basis ensuring the delivery of the programme is met.
  • Ensuring any field compliance issues are managed in the programme and communicated with the local authority to ensure the build work is not impacted.
  • Successfully forecast and monitor materials for the region ensuring the delivery partner has all necessary kit to deliver.
  • Work closely with the design team ensuring the required throughput of design is met to deliver the required homes passed target.
  • Ensuring employees and partners adhere to industry laws and regulation.
  • Manage effective change Control (programme scope, cost, technology, people) throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Experience Needed

  • Experience working with telecoms industry is desired.
  • Proven record of being an inspiring leader.
  • Proven track record of managing budgets through governance is essential.
  • Experience and knowledge of working with local authorities.
  • In depth knowledge of corporate governance principles and managerial best practices.
  • Experience of managing field delivery partners through delivery processes.
  • Strong understanding and application of change management competencies.
