This role will involve managing, developing, and building a strong team culture within Health and Safety. The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures, and programs. They will ensure that policies and practices meet legal requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Build, manage, and develop a competent, proactive Health & Safety team around the business needs.
  2. Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  3. Ensure policies and practices meet legal requirements and industry standards.
  4. Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, laws, and guidelines.
  5. Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  6. Develop and deliver training programs and workshops for employees on health and safety practices and procedures.
  7. Promote awareness and provide guidance on health and safety matters to all staff members.
  8. Lead investigations into workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
  9. Prepare detailed reports and analyses and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
  10. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  11. Report findings and work with relevant departments to implement improvements.
  12. Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures; coordinate and conduct regular emergency drills and exercises.
  13. Act as the primary point of contact for health and safety matters within your region.
  14. Consult with regulatory bodies, industry groups, and external stakeholders, as necessary.
  15. Communicate effectively with management, employees, and contractors on health and safety issues.
  16. Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities, incidents, and training sessions.
  17. Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory authorities and company management.
