We have a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the team at HMP New Hall, a female prison and young offenders institution (YOI) in Flockton, West Yorkshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team, and work in a varied environment, where you will gain experience across primary care, including emergency response, working on the wings, clinics, health promotion, and more This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week. We deliver healthcare 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, so shifts will include days and nights. You will typically work one week of nights per month (3 shifts in that week), and around 2 weekends per month.
This position is full time , you’ll receive an annual salary of £25,557 - £29,723 per annum - depending on experience.

As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Ensure continuity of care for all patients, and deliver outstanding care at all times
Work across all areas of care, including inpatients, clinics, primary care, health promotion, bloods etc
Work holistically with your patients and other healthcare staff, including nurses, nursing associates, pharmacy etc
Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback
Contribute to, and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics

Our New Healthcare Assistant Will
Hold a NVQ Level 2 / 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or equivalent
Have experience within a healthcare setting - hospital, community or secure setting
Any experience in primary care or inpatients would be a bonus
