Purchasing Administrator Role Purpose
Support the Supply Chain in all aspects of procurement administration activities. To be the key focal point for the purchasing department within the business regarding all administration matters.
Procurement
Source new parts as required either by telephone or online. Gather necessary information including price, supplier, full description and lead time, as well as authorisation.
Help review the purchase order system (Business Central), to ensure it is accurate and up to date.
Provide administrative support to other functions within the Supply Chain as required during times of peak loading.
To ensure office procedures and working practices are up to date.
To liaise with other departments within the business to help ensure the smooth and efficient transfer of high quality information and data E.G working with Accounts Payable clearing invoice queries, dealing with payments, credits etc…
Supporting our third party warehouse with queries relating to supplier deliveries and/or stock control
To assist with administering the facilities tasks across the business.
To assist in administering other supply chain documents, such as subcontractor, consultants on-boarding paperwork, although not limited to these 2 areas.
To assist with the up keep of the warehouse / storage area, moving boxes, recycling with some light lifting and shifting of boxes.
(Suitable training will be given in line with H & S, manual handling)
This is a temporary assignment for 3 months with a view to go perm for the right candidate.£31 days annual leave - plus other great benefits once the position becomes permanent.
