Facilities Manager
A well respected construction and facilities services provider currently engaged on a long term framework with the Prison service is seeking to expand thier team with the addition of a Facilities Manager to work on a Ministry of Justice scheme in the heart of Worcestershire.

The client is actively working on 60 secure premises throughout England and Wales and are motivated to maintain and deliver safe, clean and efficient facilities and this team plays an important part in ensuring that planned and reactive maintenance works are executed in a safe, compliant and timely manner.

The Facilities Manager plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner. You will come from a background in FM, understanding the key areas of H&S, Compliance and Service Delivery, and be ready to take on the challenge of a site currently going through refurbishment to increase the prison capacity.

As a Facilities Manager, you need to:

Ensure that all staff are aware of and comply with the Health and Safety Policy
Achieve and maintain Statutory and Mandatory Compliance
Ensure all corporate policies and procedures are implemented and complied with.
Carry out audits and spot checks to confirm service delivery by both direct employees and sub-contractors is of the required quality.
Carry out first line management duties with staff including disciplinary and employment processes.
To oversee the day to day operation and strategic management of the Estate / building on behalf of the Client.
Ensure that all hazards are identified and that suitable and sufficient risk assessments are completed to reduce or eliminate risk
Ensure that KPIs are achieved and that staff are aware of their role in service delivery.
Update the Environmental Management System for site and ensure that measures to reduce the risk to the environment are adhered to.
Generate revenue through additional works and monitor the P & L for site.

This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
In addition to managing the Facilities maintenance of the site, you'll also be managing and motivating each member of the team so the role can be diverse but hugely rewarding.

Previous experience of working within the Facilities/Estate management arena to include first line management, client & stakeholder liaison, working on your own initiative and understanding deadlines and prioritising. You should be a sound communicator, with good knowledge of service delivery and KPI's.

It's essential you have a good level of IT literacy, sound knowledge of H & S legislation and implementation of policies, compliance and best practice, awareness of statutory and mandatory compliance and a recognised Facilities management qualification (IOSH or similar) Additional NEBOSH or SMSTS qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Prison Security Clearance including CTC will be required - you will be supported through the process but it is essential for the role so if there is any reason you may not get clearance let us know.
