Role Overview: As a Senior Compliance Advisor specializing in commodities, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert guidance on regulatory matters to the business, particularly in the agriculture, energy, or metals sectors. Your responsibilities will include offering daily advice on regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to internal policies, monitoring activities for compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to various compliance projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily regulatory advice and guidance to the business on compliance matters related to commodities trading.
- Monitor activities, conduct desk reviews, and perform thematic reviews to ensure compliance with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Exchange rules and requirements.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects within regional and global compliance teams, including the development and delivery of compliance training materials.
- Assess the impact of new financial regulations on commodities trading and provide input to internal compliance policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and relationship-building across the organization.
Requirements:
- Advisory experience in Regulatory Reporting, with knowledge of regulations such as MIFIR, EMIR, SFTR, etc.
- Extensive understanding of commodities markets, including agriculture, energy, or metals.
- Strong knowledge of UK, EU, and US regulatory rules and requirements, including MIFID2, Market Abuse Regulation, EMIR, and Dodd-Frank.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Collaborative, process-driven, and solutions-focused approach to work.
