The Role

As a Compliance Officer, you will be a key member of our leadership team, responsible for overseeing and enhancing our compliance framework. You will ensure that our operations adhere to all relevant regulations and industry standards, mitigating risk and safeguarding our reputation. Your role will involve:

  • Developing and Implementing Compliance Strategies: Design and enforce robust compliance policies and procedures tailored to the unique needs of our commodities trading operations.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Oversee ongoing monitoring of trading activities, conduct risk assessments, and ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies.
  • Training and Advising: Provide expert guidance and training to staff on compliance matters, fostering a culture of compliance and ethical behavior across the organization.
  • Staying Informed: Keep abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends, ensuring our compliance framework remains current and effective.

Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience: Solid experience in compliance roles, preferably within the commodities trading or financial services sector.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of applicable regulations and standards, including CFTC, SEC, and other relevant bodies.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing compliance team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and a strategic approach to risk management.
