Overview:

Test & Cutover Manager to join the core project team for the global implementation of a new Time & Attendance (T&A) and Workforce Management (WFM) solution. This initiative will replace the existing global Kronos platform with UKG Pro Workforce Management and expand T&A at towards Workforce Management (WFM) including Advanced Scheduling and Project Time Tracking. The project also involves revising integrations with systems such as Workday HCM and global Payroll providers.


The Test & Cutover Manager will report to the Global Project Lead and will be responsible for both testing & assurance activities and the planning and execution of successful cutover activities, including technical readiness, business readiness, data migration and preparation of physical time clocks at sites. This position will work closely with various stakeholders including Regional Harmonization Leads, Change and Adoption Lead, IT Infrastructure, User Training Team and Hypercare teams to ensure a seamless transition to the new platform.

An SI partner is in place to deliver the configured solution and integrations; and this role includes oversight of the solution unit and SIT testing as well as owning the UAT process through to Business Acceptance.


Key Responsibilities:

Testing & Business Acceptance:

  • Develop and own a comprehensive Test Strategy and Plan to ensure the delivered solution is fit for purpose from a functional, technical, and integration perspective, including system testing, data migration and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across global locations.
  • Oversee testing activities with the Systems Integrator (SI) Partner, the global Project Team, and internal functions such as IT, Facility Mgmt etc. to ensure seamless integration.
  • Define test environment requirements, including test data generation and management.
  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of Test Scripts aligned with Process Design, Business Requirements, Personas and User Stories.
  • Plan, prepare and oversee UAT execution in close collaboration with the Global Change & Adoption Lead, ensuring the involvement of key business users and stakeholders globally, facilitating feedback, and iterating test cases as necessary.
  • Establish a process to prioritize and track defects/issues to resolution, and manage testing progress to ensure milestones are met.
  • Assess and propose suitable test system infrastructure incl. test management infrastructure (e.g. JIRA) in alignment with IT to effectively administer and document test approach.
  • Define and agree upon Test Success Criteria, covering both Technical Readiness and Operational Readiness.


Cutover Planning & Execution:

  • Develop and manage detailed Cutover Plans for each go-live event, ensuring alignment with Change & Adoption, User Training, and Hypercare teams.
  • Plan and execute cutover activities, including data migration, system transition, and physical time clock installation or cutover.
  • Ensure robust business contingency planning, including risk mitigation and rollback strategies in the event of issues during cutover.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks associated with cutover, ensuring any dependencies are addressed in a timely manner.


Post-Go-Live Hypercare:

  • Coordinate post-go-live Hypercare activities, ensuring operational stability and support for users.
  • Work with technical and business teams to resolve post-launch issues rapidly and effectively.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from Hypercare to BAU Support model; working closely with the T&A Product Owner, Support Teams plus Hr Services and Global Process Owners.


Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience in Test Management, Test Lead and QA roles, particularly within the deployment of global cloud-based solutions.
  • Deep understanding of T&A / WFM solutions and typical use cases.
  • Knowledge of UKG Pro, Kronos, and Workday HCM platforms is desirable.
  • Proven track record in testing and assurance for complex Payroll Integration, including integration testing with external systems such as Payroll and HRIS platforms.
  • Experience leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensuring business engagement in testing activities.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully planning and executing cutover events, including data migration and technical infrastructure cutovers (e.g., physical time clocks).
  • Experience with hardware, particularly physical time clocks, is an advantage.
  • Strong risk management skills, with experience in developing and executing contingency plans for cutover and testing scenarios.
  • Familiarity with change management processes, ensuring collaboration with change management, user adoption, and training teams.
