Role Overview:


As part of Tempest Resourcing’s on-going growth in the Social Care sector, we are looking for a part-time dynamic Learning and Development Lead. Suitable applicants will have experience in the Social Care sector at Service Manager or Head of Service level, ideally with a good understanding of both Children’s and Adult Social Care. The learning and development of our candidates and internal staff is highly important and this role is pivotal in upholding these standards.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about learning, skilled in delivering engaging training, and committed to upholding Tempest’s high standards.


Key Responsibilities:


Training & Development:

  • Oversee our unique candidate training offering for Tempest working candidates across the country.
  • Design, deliver, and evaluate training programmes for internal staff, with a focus on industry-specific knowledge, skills development, and career progression.
  • Equip consultants with the tools and knowledge to become subject matter experts in their respective sectors.


Interview Support for Locum and Interim Staff:

  • Provide guidance, mock interviews, and interview preparation resources to locum and permanent candidates, helping them succeed in their job placements.
  • Develop candidate-focused training materials to address common interview challenges and build candidate confidence.


Ambassador for Tempest Resourcing:

  • Act as a brand ambassador by promoting our values and commitment to excellence.
  • Record training videos, webinars, and other digital resources to enhance learning opportunities.
  • Represent Tempest in tenders and industry events, showcasing our approach to quality and development.


Content writing, marketing and networking:

  • Provide monthly blog related to the Social Work industry
  • Collaborate with other content writers and influencers in the sector to ensure interesting, relevant content is available to our network


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar Learning and Development role
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and direct experience of hiring staff
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Experience creating and delivering both in-person and digital training content.
  • Highly organised, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
