Network Administrator (Cisco or Juniper) x 3 - All Levels - Greater Manchester

A leading organisation requires a number of Network Administrators to join its growing Network team, supporting EMEA offices. The succesful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability of the regional network and assisting in developing processes and procedures for ongoing management of the regional network environment.


Suitable candidates will have the following:


  • Experience of working with and supporting Cisco (Meraki), Palo-Alto and Juniper environments advantageous.
  • Strong foundation of networking concepts including routing, switching, firewall, and VPN.
  • Understand the overall design concept of IT system and cloud computing.
  • Experience with routing and switching of multiple VLANs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple escalated support incidents under tight timelines.
  • Good organizational and logical thinking skills.
  • Excellent documentation skills with detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Duties will include:


  • Supporting, configuring, maintaining and upgrading network devices, including, but not limited to firewalls, switches and wireless access points. Weekend and after-office-hours work is expected.
  • Updating network systems and documentation as changes are implemented.
  • Monitoring network availability and performance. Reviewing alerts and notifications from monitoring systems and diagnose issues. Performing analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting and escalate problems as necessary.
  • Performing timely response and technical support for all incidents, requests, outages, and alerts.
  • Ensuring that all corporate IT Security policies, practices and procedures are adhered to.
