Are you a seasoned professional with deep experience in the legal sector and a passion for empowering others through education and development? We are seeking a Learning and Development Specialist to play a key role in building strong relationships with law firms and driving impactful training solutions.


About the Role

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with UK law firms to understand their learning and development needs.
  • Design and implement strategic training programmes tailored to the legal sector, ensuring alignment with firm goals and industry trends.
  • Leverage your expertise in both law firm operations and training provider methodologies to create transformative learning experiences.
  • Support the transition to innovative qualification pathways, including the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE).
  • Build trust and credibility with stakeholders through a proven track record of delivering measurable outcomes.


About You

  • Extensive experience in the legal sector, both within law firms and with training providers in the UK.
  • A strategic mindset and the ability to align training initiatives with organisational goals.
  • Strong leadership and collaborative skills to inspire confidence and foster productivity.
  • Proven expertise in professional development, curriculum design, and navigating emerging legal trends.
  • Exceptional relationship-building abilities to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Over 10 years of experience in the legal industry, transitioning from legal practice to education and training.
  • A history of leading large-scale training programmes, such as CPD initiatives for thousands of legal professionals annually.
  • Hands-on experience with challenges like the transition to SQE and rethinking pathways to legal practice.
  • A reputation for strategic insight, innovative problem-solving, and delivering tangible results.
  • A collaborative leadership style, with expertise in organisational behaviour and change management.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, training, HR, law, or related field
