Exciting opportunity for Head of Marine Reinsurance.


An international insurance company is looking to hire a Head of Reinsurance to spearhead the programme. This hire will manage the buying of the marine insurance in various lines of business such as Excessive Loss Cover, H&M and P&I.


The company are looking for succession planning, so will be promotion opportunities in the future for the right candidate that is willing to learn and develop whilst taking on more responsibility.


International travel will be required to meet C-Suite internal stakeholders in finance and underwriting departments in Europe and London.


The insurance company are open to considering candidates with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the marine market, either as a Broker or Underwriter, and ideally with an understanding of both the direct marine market and re-insurance market.


This role can be based in either London or Europe, sponsorship is available if required.


This is a rewarding role for an analytical / actuarial self-starter who enjoys being market facing, with strong negotiation and relationship building skills and contacts in the marine reinsurance market.
