Strategic Transformation Office Business Manager

City of London - 3 days per week average onsite


c£100,000 base (doe), + benefits (25% bonus, 8% pension, 25 days annual leave)


We are looking for a commercial and strategic individual, who has previous experience of a portfolio management function, to join us in a newly create role as Senior Business Manager.


Sitting firmly within the Strategic Transformation Office which is responsible for managing the central change portfolio, change governance frameworks and portfolio management controls, you will report directly in to the Head of Strategic Transformation Office.


You will operate as their trusted advisor and right-hand support in the day to day management of the function, supporting the function's activities and outcomes. You will support on strategic planning and governance activities, as well as specific reporting needs as required.


You will be a self-starter, able to work autonomously under your own direction, and be a 'completer-finisher'.


As Business Manager you will ensure smooth operation of the division by breaking down inter-departmental silos, identifying operational efficiencies, support budget process and financial planning, resource allocation and recruitment, and drive innovative and streamlined processes.



Key skills and experience you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a similar strategic advisory capacity to senior leadership/ CXO's.
  • Prior experience of working with/ for a portfolio management function.
  • Strong commercial finance- budget management and financial planning and tracking.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Executive level reporting and presentation skills.
  • Proven background in supporting and driving business strategy.
  • Excellent stakeholder management
