Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join one of the UK’s largest defence primes. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects within the Defence or IT & Outsourcing sectors. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in pre and post-signature contract management, negotiation, and drafting terms and conditions (T&Cs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead commercial activities across various projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and legal requirements.
- Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from pre-signature negotiations to post-signature implementation and ongoing management.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms and conditions to secure favourable outcomes for the company.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and project teams, to ensure seamless contract execution.
- Provide expert advice on commercial risks and opportunities to senior management.
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners to ensure long-term success.
- Monitor contract performance, resolving issues and implementing improvements as needed.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Commercial Manager within the Defence sector or IT & Outsourcing sector.
- Proven experience in both pre and post-signature contract management.
- Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of successfully closing complex deals.
- Excellent understanding of contract law and best practices in drafting T&Cs.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
