Position Overview

As Wholesale Manager, you will be responsible for launching and managing Petit Pli's wholesale partnerships. This is a part-time role (2 days per week) for an experienced professional with a proven track record in wholesale retail account management within childrenswear. You will be instrumental in expanding Petit Pli's reach, ensuring sustainable growth through strategic partnerships, sales execution, and operational excellence.

The Role Responsibilities:

1. Wholesale Expansion & Account Management

  • Maintain and develop existing wholesale relationships in Japan.
  • Identify, approach, and onboard new wholesale partners in strategic global markets.
  • Build and nurture long-term partnerships with boutiques, department stores, and premium retailers.

2. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Drive revenue growth through effective account management and acquisition of new wholesale accounts.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to implement promotional strategies for wholesale partners.

3. Pricing & Performance Tracking

  • Work with the CEO to set recommended retail prices (RRPs) across EUR, GBP, and USD.
  • Forecast wholesale budgets and monitor sales performance to ensure targets are met.
  • Conduct regular wholesale partner meetings to review performance and adjust strategies.

4. Seasonal Campaigns & Marketing Support

  • Create linesheets, selling lookbooks, and other sales materials to support wholesale expansion.
  • Plan and execute seasonal sales campaigns and showroom presentations.

5. Operational & Administrative Excellence

  • Manage order confirmations, cancellations, and other showroom-related administrative follow-ups.
  • Oversee stock swaps, re-orders, and returns to maintain strong wholesale relationships.
  • Work closely with our Production team to ensure orders are delivered on time.

6. Reporting & Market Insights

  • Produce detailed sales reports for the management team, identifying growth opportunities.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor strategies, and industry shifts to refine Petit Pli's wholesale strategy.

7. Wholesale Strategy Execution

  • Execute and evolve the existing strategic plan for the launch and growth of Petit Pli Wholesale.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment between wholesale and D2C strategies.

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in opening and managing wholesale retail accounts within the childrenswear industry.
  • Strong understanding of the wholesale landscape, including pricing strategies, terms, and negotiations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and nurture relationships with wholesale partners.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive sales growth.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with a high level of initiative.
  • Familiarity with sustainable and innovative practices within the fashion industry - and a genuine desire to do better.
