Project/Program Management- Program - Program Manager III
- Job Description: Companies Store Content Management team is seeking a Launch Manager to expand in-person support to the EMEA / APAC region and take ownership of operations programs supporting the launch and post-launch success of a wide variety of gaming, application, and media content published on the companies Horizon Store.
- The role will involve operating at multiple levels, and communicating with developers in their preferred language.
- The ideal candidate is already well-versed in mobile, PC, or video game console app store distribution and has experience building operational programs. The candidate should be an enthusiastic and flexible teammate, have proven communication skills working across local regions and a strong analytical mind that thrives in a fast-paced commercial environment.
- This role will provide white-glove technical, operational, and strategic support to 1P, 2P, and 3P managed developers launching applications and Horizon Worlds on the Meta Horizon Store.
- Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc. Additionally, this role requires direct operational support for the company's processes, improvements, and internal initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the launch of new products on the Horizon Store.
- Provide technical assistance to external clients and internal XFN collaborators
- Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and leading implementation efforts as needed Perform, organize and streamline operational tasks across various departments to reduce the risk for potential errors
- Confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures
- Monitor for problems and acting when required or escalating to the operations manager when needed
- Action activities that are associated with the production of the products the company offers
- Handle problems in a calm and collected manner, even when under pressure
Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time.
- Strong knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.
- Proven experience juggling multiple projects with fluctuating deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, administration, or related field; candidates with relevant experience will also be considered
- Launch or Release Management experience
- Strong technical literacy
- Familiarity video game and VR/MR ecosystems Responsibilities
- Provide white glove support for high-profile managed MR Developers and Horizon World Creators.
- Provide timely support to the appropriate Dev Rel, Partner, PMM, Engineering, Product, and XFN teams across Metaverse pillars.
- Act as Secondary Launch Manager for the release of high-profile MR titles and Horizon Worlds ensuring smooth and accurate launches via internal tooling infrastructure.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on submission and publishing workflows, providing guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders on a wide range of projects.
- Report on trends and advocate for platform-level solutions based on the developer publishing experience.
- Proactively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and suggesting axes of improvement to optimize the efficiency and impact of internal support services.
- Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with app/game production, operations, QA, or developer relations
- Proven experience juggling multiple projects with fluctuating deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail
- Experience working with product, engineering, and design teams
- Fluent in 2 or more languages relevant to the local region
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of program management experience (or similar role)
- Release Manager / Launch Manager experience
- Familiarity with the video game ecosystems
- Analytical and problem-solving experience
- Fluent in 3 or more languages relevant to the local region
