Description

  • The company is seeking a highly motivated and organized Policy Programs Associate Manager to join the Africa, Middle East, and Turkey (AMET) Policy Programs team. As part of the Companies AMET Public Policy organization, the Policy Programs team designs and executes regional programs that leverage Meta's platforms to promote positive social, economic, and cultural outcomes while supporting an enabling policy environment for technology.
  • We are looking for a candidate who can drive initiatives in our innovation pillars, develop the policy marcomms and advocacy infrastructure for the team, and provide operational support across the board for the policy programs team in the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey.
  • The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of the policy challenges Meta faces in the region, a passion for community building and future technology, and the ability to fearlessly project manage and execute. Strong communication skills, high organizational abilities, and a focus on impact are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Manage and execute projects related to our wider AI strategy in the region, working with various stakeholders including startups, agencies, and government entities.
  • Delivery Partner Management: Oversee the output of delivery partners for AI and Llama-related projects.
  • Advocacy Infrastructure Development: Build and manage our programs team advocacy infrastructure, including engagement tracking, case study documentation, and collateral development.
  • Markcomms Infrastructure Development: Develop and manage our marcomms infrastructure, including campaigns, collaterals, and campaign playbooks.
  • Programs reporting and impact measurement: Develop and report on programs progress and impact achieved.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate internal and external cross-functional groups to ensure effective program planning and execution.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with and engage the broader AMET Policy Programs team as needed to ensure progress and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, business development and/or marketing in Africa, Middle East and Turkey.
  • Strong interest in Meta, emerging technologies, and innovation.
  • Ability to fearlessly manage and execute projects.
  • Solid organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Focus on delivering impact and achieving results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other internal teams.
  • Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully and creatively in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the region.

Additional qualifications

  • Experience working with governments on technology and innovation-related projects across the region.
  • Fluency in Arabic and/or Turkish is a plus.
