We’re seeking an ambitious Account Manager (or Senior Account Executive looking for a step up) with 1+ years of experience in medical communications. We’re looking for someone who will bring passion and proactivity to ensure high-quality project planning, development and execution across a variety of medical education projects. They will act as the primary client contact alongside the senior project lead, providing regular updates, managing day-to-day project activities and responding with agility to any changes that may occur.


You will work with a talented team and be supported by people who have enormous experience and expertise to share. 


Key responsibilities

  • Client management: Build strong client relationships through clear and confident communication, proactively managing expectations and supporting the wider team to go the extra mile
  • Project management: Drive day-to-day project activities, manage timelines, collaborate with suppliers, streamline Veeva approvals, and ensure delivery of all projects to the highest quality standards
  • Financial management: Prepare, monitor and reconcile project budgets, support with invoicing, and highlight out-of-scope work or budget increases promptly
  • Team management: Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver client projects on time and to brief, support and mentor junior staff through appropriate delegation, prioritisation and briefing, and promote a collaborative, agile team culture
  • Provide on-site support as required: Attend meetings in the UK or elsewhere
  • Problem resolution: Promote excellence, open communication and teamwork to enhance processes, and support senior project leads to develop effective strategies and solutions to resolve any issues
  • Commercial awareness: Understand client and product landscapes, brand strategies, and industry regulations to provide informed recommendations with support from the senior project lead
  • Business development: Identify opportunities to maximise existing client accounts and assist in developing proposals and pitches


Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, communications, or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in medical communications, healthcare marketing, or related field
  • Proven track record in client services, account management, or project management, with experience managing pharmaceutical or biotech accounts


Soft skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to plan effectively and assign resources appropriately, working to a high standard of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team to achieve a shared goal
  • Energetic and hard-working, with a professional and mature attitude and demeanour
  • A positive approach to change and new opportunities, proactively promoting the need for change and being respectful of new ideas
  • Proactive in seeking feedback to improve and develop own performance
