Macgregor Black are partnering with a growing consumer goods company on the search for an Account Manager. This is a permanent role based in London.
As the Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of key retail accounts. Your main responsibilities will involve managing relationships with retail partners, executing strategies that maximise sales, and ensuring that products are presented effectively in-store. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with consumer goods and retail experience to progress their career in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key retail partners to ensure mutual growth and success.
- Oversee the sales performance for your accounts, identifying opportunities to drive growth, optimise sales strategies, and meet or exceed targets.
- Work closely with your retail partners to ensure optimal product placement, merchandising, and promotions that align with brand objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing, logistics, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of account strategies and campaigns.
- Plan and execute in-store campaigns, product launches, and seasonal promotions to drive brand visibility and sales.
- Provide regular performance reports, analysing market trends and sales data to offer insights and make strategic recommendations.
- Be the main point of contact for your retail accounts, resolving any issues, answering queries, and providing excellent customer service.
- Take ownership of your professional development, actively seeking new challenges and progression within the company.
What are we looking for?
- 3+ years of experience in account management within the consumer goods or retail sectors.
- Strong track record of managing retail relationships and driving sales performance.
- Commercially focused with the ability to analyse data and make decisions that positively impact business outcomes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with a proactive attitude and a passion for growth and career progression.
- Familiar with working in a hybrid environment with the ability to balance remote work with office-based collaboration.
- In-depth knowledge of retail systems and metrics, and an understanding of market trends.
