Recruitment Chief is thrilled to represent an exciting opportunity to join a global leader in the events industry, specialising in B2B experiences that inspire, inform, and ignite change in the world of people management and workplace innovation. Operating at the intersection of business and showbiz, this company curates high-impact events that draw thought leaders, industry innovators, and change-makers from around the world.
About the Role:
As the Executive Assistant to the CEO, you will be an extension of the CEO and the face of the business, representing them with confidence and professionalism. In this highly visible and trusted role, you’ll work to ensure the CEO can focus on driving the company’s ambitious agenda by providing first-rate executive and administrative support.
You’ll need to have a holistic understanding of the business and a strong instinct for what is urgent, proactively preparing for deadlines and managing expectations across internal and external stakeholders.
This role calls for a proactive individual who can anticipate needs, act on initiative, and bring a sense of showbiz flair to business operations. The successful candidate will have a knack for prioritising under pressure, with excellent attention to detail and loyalty to the CEO, protecting their time and focus by managing demands diplomatically.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the CEO’s complex schedule across multiple time zones, arranging meetings, travel, and ensuring all commitments are aligned.
- Act as the main liaison between the CEO, Senior Leadership team, and various departments, ensuring smooth communication and alignment.
- Represent the CEO and the business confidently with external partners, industry leaders, and event attendees.
- Handle correspondence on behalf of the CEO, knowing when to escalate matters and when to independently resolve issues.
- Proactively prepare for meetings, organising agendas and compiling briefings to ensure the CEO is one step ahead on all matters.
- Craft engaging presentations and visually impactful reports, conveying complex information in a polished, accessible format.
- Provide VIP-level support during CEO site visits, making them feel prepared and valued.
- Serve as a gatekeeper, protecting the CEO from unnecessary interruptions and ensuring they remain focused on high-level priorities.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in supporting C-level executives, ideally within a high-energy, international environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly and effectively.
- Confidence, initiative, and the ability to manage competing demands with grace and efficiency.
- Exceptional PowerPoint and presentation skills, capable of creating visually compelling documents.
- An eye for detail, a proactive approach, and the capability to build relationships across the business.
Why Join? This role provides a unique opportunity to work closely with a CEO at the helm of a fast-paced, B2B events organisation. You’ll gain an in-depth understanding of the business while ensuring that its most senior leader is prepared, protected, and empowered to deliver exceptional events that transform industries and inspire change.
