Role Overview:

We are seeking a Scientific Technical Support Specialist with a PhD in a life sciences subject and hands-on experience with antibodies, ELISA kits, assay kits, and other protein-based products. In this crucial role, you will be the go-to expert for technical support, offering tailored advice to customers and distributors to ensure they select the right products for their specific needs. You will assist in troubleshooting technical issues, provide guidance on experimental protocols, and help improve customer satisfaction through high-quality service. Your role will also involve staying up-to-date with the latest scientific trends and advancements in antibody-based technologies to provide cutting-edge solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert, science-driven technical support to customers, assisting with product selection, usage, and troubleshooting of antibodies, ELISA kits, assay kits, and other protein-based products.
  • Collaborate with distributors to respond to technical inquiries, ensure product suitability, and offer guidance on experimental protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Advise customers on optimizing their experimental protocols, ensuring they obtain reliable and reproducible results with our products.
  • Recommend suitable products based on customer-specific needs, whether for standard assays, customized research, or high-throughput applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with product developments, scientific literature, and market trends to provide the most current and relevant information to customers and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with the product development, sales, and marketing teams, sharing customer insights and providing feedback on product performance and customer needs.
  • Create and maintain scientific documentation such as user guides, technical FAQs, and troubleshooting resources to enhance the customer experience.
  • Conduct webinars, product demonstrations, and training sessions for customers, distributors, and internal teams to enhance knowledge of product offerings and best practices.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • PhD in a Life Science subject with a strong understanding of laboratory techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with antibodies, ELISA kits, assay kits, and other protein-based products commonly used in molecular biology, immunology, and other research disciplines.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting experimental issues and providing actionable solutions to technical problems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts in an accessible way to customers and distributors with varying levels of expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to offer product recommendations and experimental design advice based on a solid understanding of scientific principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose issues and suggest practical solutions to enhance experimental outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools for data management and reporting.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience in customer-facing roles, including scientific sales, technical support, or training.
  • Knowledge of advanced molecular biology techniques such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, or ELISA-based assays.
  • A passion for scientific innovation and a keen interest in staying current with the latest advancements in life science research.
