EUC Architect – Lead & Innovate with Enterprise-Level EUC Solutions

Location: Hybrid - London or South Manchester (2-3 days office)

Salary: £75k-£95k + Bonus, Pension, Healthcare


Must have solid technical experience with Enterprise Level EUC environments from either Citrix of VMware.

We are looking for an End User Computing (EUC) Manager to lead a team of up to 8 highly skilled project and support engineers. We're looking for either a seasoned EUC Manager, Head of or EUC Architect with strong VDI experience. In this role, you will drive the design, delivery, and support of robust EUC solutions using Citrix and VMware technologies, ensuring that our organization maintains a high-performance, secure, and scalable infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of 8 engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide mentorship, support professional development, and ensure high performance across the team.

• Authenticate the Design & Delivery activity of EUC Solutions: Own the end-to-end design, delivery, and support of enterprise-level EUC solutions, leveraging Citrix and VMware technologies to create seamless, scalable VDI environments for our end users.

• Operational Excellence: Ensure the team delivers best-in-class support for our end users, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance across the EUC environment. You will oversee day-to-day operations, managing workloads, ticket queues, and escalations to meet SLAs.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT leadership, project managers, and business units to align EUC solutions with organizational goals. Provide expert input to strategy discussions and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous innovation and process improvements, ensuring our EUC infrastructure evolves with the latest trends and technologies. Evaluate and implement new tools, practices, and methodologies to enhance user experiences and system performance.

• Budget & Resource Management: Manage team resources effectively, including budgets, staffing, and training. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining high service quality.


The Person

• Technical background across EUC & VDI form VMware or Citrix, including one of the following VMware Horizon View or XenDesktop.

• Broader cloud knowledge of Azure would be beneficial but not essential.

• Proven Leadership Experience: Strong track record of managing and mentoring technical teams, ideally in an EUC or IT infrastructure environment.

• Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Citrix and/or VMware EUC technologies, including design, implementation, and support of enterprise solutions.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to tackle complex technical issues and lead the team in troubleshooting and delivering timely, effective resolutions.

• Excellent Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and effectively manage expectations.

• Customer-Focused Approach: A commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences and a passion for improving the overall performance of the end-user environment.
