The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Procurement professionals to take on the pivotal role of an International Buyer (m/f/x). This position has a key function in delivering operational excellence and strengthening the Procurement shared service operating model, whilst leading some tactical and strategic initiatives to support the ongoing procurement transformation.


Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with local Finance and Compliance/Legal teams to ensure key compliance KPIs and quarterly control metrics are monitored and controlled.
  • Liaise with lead buyers for timely performance of sourcing activities (spend 50k Euros).
  • Execute purchasing activities for spend under ownership (Ensure third party due diligence is performed in timely manner and manage relationship with vendors as per stakeholders’ needs.
  • Contribute to Procurements success with regards to savings, customer satisfaction, risk mitigation and/or fulfilment of defined KPI´s (e.g., ROSMA).
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with DSE policies procedures as well as all relevant external regulations.
  • Support the wider procurement shared services team as required.
  • Proactively manage operational procurement activities to ensure procurement processes are performed efficiently and effectively in compliance with policies.
  • Assure that sourcing activities have been performed as per internal regulations (i.e., compliance checklist) and any gaps are resolved.
  • Minimise the use of exceptions and gain proper approvals when exceptions are required.


Education Experience

  • Fluent in English – Essential
  • Fluent in 1 or more European language – Advantageous
  • 2 - 5 years’ experience in Procurement - Essential
  • Previous experience in the Pharmaceutical industry – Desirable
  • Degree in Procurement or related field/ Business Administration – Desirable
  • Strong execution and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to completion – Essential
  • Travel Flexibility - Essential
  • Robust customer service - Essential
  • Able to think critically and challenge the status-quo to pro-actively identify improvement opportunities - Essential
  • Strong problem-solving skills toward solutions - Essential
  • Excellent analytical skills, highly reliable and a distinct aptitude to work accurately - Essential
