Our client has boasted year on year growth and continues on a serious growth trajectory, including international expansion.In the position of Assistant Buyer, you will support your Senior Buyer in creating compelling ranges across various categories. You will work collaboratively with the wider teams across Design, Marketing and E-commerce to bring product/ranges to market.
Key responsibilities in the position of Assistant Buyer will include:
- Contribute to the product development process ensuring that it meets customer requirements and team KPI's
- Support Senior Buyer to make informed decisions whilst adhering to the critical plan
- Analyse and evaluate the overall performance of the product areas responsible assigned to you.
- Work alongside Senior Buyer to drive sales and profitability through effective negotiations on key deliverables.
- Manage critical path and day to day communications effectively with suppliers.
- Confidently raises concerns to Senior Buyer to ensure team success.
- Stay ahead of the market and competitors through comp shops, proactively identifying trends and product opportunities
To be considered for the position of Assistant Buyer, you will offer the following:
- Minimum of two years operating at a similar level, preferably within online retail/homewares
- Strong organisational skills, highly commercial and a real passion for homewares
- A driven and self disciplined individual who can work both independently and as part of a team
- Can travel into London as and when needed
- Great collaboration skills with the ability to quickly build effective relationships cross functionally, namely the Design team and Marketing team.
