Product Manager (High Power Charging) - EV/Marine - Northern Ireland - £45k to £75k
One of my key clients in the EV/Marine space are looking for a Product Manager to oversee the technical specifications, delivery, and commercialization of ATL battery products.
Role: Product Manager (High Power Charging)
Salary: £45,000 to £75,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Northern Ireland
Hybrid
This role involves assuming technical responsibility early in the product lifecycle, ensuring that the product feature implementation strategy is meticulously planned to meet market demands. Additionally, the role offers the opportunity to develop customer-facing application processes within the business, working closely with broader technical teams to conduct technical studies and perform applications engineering functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide the technical delivery of high-power charging products, ensuring solutions meet demanding product requirements.
- Coordinate Product Development work streams, including Requirements Engineering, Product Documentation, Certification, System Engineering, and Test and Validation.
- Champion the Voice of the Customer to ensure it is central to Technology and R&D work streams and roadmaps.
- Develop a customer-focused Applications Engineering strategy, interfacing with in-house e-Mobility simulation and tool chain capabilities to support customer acquisition.
- Act as the Customer Representative, supporting customers through the Application, Ordering, and Production processes.
- Participate in commercial contract discussions and negotiations, supporting the Sales Team.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams in Technical, Commercial, and Operations departments to ensure product suitability, customer satisfaction, and the development of strategies to meet financial targets.
- Identify market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
- Manage the Energy Solutions product portfolio of charging products and identify and develop new products/processes aligned with the ES business strategy.
- Incorporate compliance into product design, ensuring ongoing adherence to legal and regulatory standards while delivering value to users, operators, and customers.
- Understand the end-to-end user, operator, and customer experience integration and dependencies.
- Assist the commercial team with pricing strategies.
- Manage projects effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering field.
- 3-5 years’ technical experience and expertise in Lithium-Ion battery technology, Energy Storage and Charging Solutions.
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience in Product Management or Applications Engineering, preferably in the e-Mobility sector (B2B).
