Production Manager


Overview:

Join our dynamic team as a Production Manager, where you will lead daily operations, drive efficiency, and ensure compliance with global regulatory standards. Your role will be pivotal in optimizing processes, enhancing productivity, and fostering a high-performing, committed team.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily production operations, ensuring timely delivery and full compliance with cGMP/cGCP and relevant licenses.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Set and achieve targets for operational efficiency, including tracking OEE and minimizing downtime.
  • Process Optimization: Streamline processes to reduce costs and maximize production throughput.
  • Team Development: Lead and develop your team to ensure cross-functionality, high performance, and long-term retention.
  • Metrics and Improvement: Develop and implement metrics for continuous improvement in operations and compliance.
  • Customer Relations: Maintain strong customer relationships through open communication, direct interaction, and accountability.
  • Process Flow Support: Facilitate the creation of SKUs and bills of material, ensuring effective stage-gating of new product introductions and updates to existing bills from change programs.
  • Value Stream Management: Oversee the entire value stream, ensuring efficient resource use and effective process flows to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead cross-functional projects to achieve factory goals and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Planning: Prepare and develop strategic priorities aligned with overall business strategy and track relevant KPIs.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate production-related information to all stakeholders, including executive-level management.
  • Budget Management: Assist in budget preparation and monitor department spending and variances.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the successful implementation of health, safety, and environmental impact policies.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, chemical manufacturing, or other regulated environments.
  • Budgeting experience and knowledge of current GMPs, SOPs, Quality System Regulations, and ISO requirements.
  • Proficiency in Six Sigma and project management.
  • Proven management and leadership skills with a strong track record of developing direct reports.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, build consensus, and manage conflict.
  • Strong problem-solving, strategic, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Experience working with and influencing contract manufacturing partners while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Expertise in operational excellence, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
