Assistant General Manager required for this vibrant, modern Mediterranean restaurant located in the heart of South East London, known for their fresh, flavourful cuisine and exceptional dining experience. Focused on delivering the best of Mediterranean dishes, from traditional favourites to innovative creations, they pride themselves on a warm, welcoming atmosphere and excellent service.


We are now seeking a passionate and dynamic Assistant General Manager to join the team, help drive success, and deliver memorable dining experiences.

About the Job:

  • Support the General Manager in the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction.
  • Lead and motivate a diverse team of front-of-house staff, ensuring high standards of service are consistently maintained.
  • Assist in staff recruitment, training, and development to create a positive work environment.
  • Manage reservations and ensure efficient table turnover, while maintaining quality service.
  • Control stock and liaise with suppliers for timely ordering.
  • Assist with budget management, cost control, and profitability analysis.
  • Act as a key point of contact for guests, handling inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner.


About you:

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a premium restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Passion for Mediterranean cuisine and excellent knowledge of food and beverage service.
  • Focused on delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Ability to work under pressure and problem-solve effectively.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software and reservation systems.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
