About


ACT is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join our team. The Senior Site Manager will establish and oversee all work associated with ACT’s construction sites, effectively managing the completion of all tasks in a safe, diligent, and responsible manner. The Senior Site Manager will ensure the project is completed to the highest standard, on time, within the agreed cost, and to client satisfaction, in line with ACT’s company ethos.

Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly site.
  • Ensure inductions and adherence to site rules.
  • Delegate tasks to manage program, quality, and costs.
  • Keep an accurate daily site diary on Procore.
  • Order materials and manage storage as per program.
  • Coordinate ACT and supply chain works to avoid variations.
  • Ensure timely timesheet submissions to HR.
  • Review resources with the commercial team.
  • Create and manage 6-week lookahead programmes.
  • Report potential delays or impacts on the critical path.
  • Sequence tasks for a safe and quality-driven process.
  • Provide real-time progress reports.
  • Foster a positive, solution-oriented culture.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and manage documentation via Procore.
  • Develop and update project programmes and manage risks.
  • Compile and circulate weekly reports.
  • Organise and manage building control visits and design reviews.
  • Conduct key dimensional and quality checks.
  • Address quality/specification issues promptly.
  • Participate in audits and implement improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
  • Oversee risk assessments and method statements.
  • Conduct Toolbox Talks and ensure safety equipment use.
  • Manage welfare facilities and temporary works requirements.
  • Report on-site HR issues and conduct performance reviews.
  • Understand contract scope and manage site variations.
  • Allocate labour and procure materials within budget.
  • Oversee document control with the Document Control Manager.


Skills & Requirements


  • NVQ Level 6 in Construction or Management or equivalent.
  • SMSTS.
  • First Aid at Work.
  • PASMA.
  • Temporary Works Supervisor.
  • High-end residential experience.
  • Proficient in Procore Site Management Tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Maintain high quality control standards.
  • Supervise and motivate the team, as well as delegate tasks effectively and manage team deliverables.
  • Build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Procore and other project management tools.
  • Ensure compliance in document control.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Manage and investigate incidents.
  • Conduct safety inductions and Toolbox Talks.
