Job Purpose

Our Finance Manager is a stand-alone, office-based role, who supports five key areas of our business:

  • Client budgets and billing
  • Account P&L and forecasting
  • Cash flow
  • Payroll and contractor payments
  • Internal finance and HR platforms


A successful candidate would bring strong organisational skills and help to develop more efficient processes and procedures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including Cash Flow and Revenue Forecasts, to the CEO and senior management.
  • Reconcile balance sheet items for month ends accounts
  • Enhance existing or develop new administration systems to continually improve the Finance function.
  • Act as the primary contact for external governance agencies such as Companies House, HM Revenue & Customs, and the Pensions Regulator.
  • Update Xero software daily for bookkeeping and complete monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Arrange BACS payments, manage supplier contracts, and oversee the monthly payroll process using Xero for 2 payroll cycles.
  • Conduct a weekly credit control process and maintain the fixed asset register.
  • Prepare VAT returns in compliance with legislation and manage the Company’s PO system.
  • Handle all company expenses, including staff expenses and company credit card expenditures.
  • Manage Employer of Record entities for international staff payroll and provide guidance on pay and tax queries for any field staff.
  • Collaborate with the external Company Accountant to prepare year-end accounts.
  • Oversee the management of the company’s small fleet of cars.
  • Maintain the filing system for all Finance documents and undertake additional tasks as requested by senior management.
  • Reconcile head count costs against client budgets.
  • Prepare/analyse monthly invoicing schedule and generate company quotes as required.
  • Manage the Company NEST Pension Scheme and Holiday Funds.
  • Maintain payroll journals in Xero.
  • Work with the external Company Accountant to prepare year end accounts.
