Role Overview

The primary purpose of this role is to manage, maintain, and enhance the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring that systems and networks operate smoothly, securely, and efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain existing and future cloud-based solutions to ensure availability, cybersecurity, and reliability.
  • Design and implement disaster recovery plans to safeguard my clients critical data.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure to identify and address potential performance, reliability, and security issues.
  • Collaborate with the development team to design and maintain various cloud-based applications and services.
  • Oversee security policies and provide compliance guidance, including GDPR requirements.
  • Manage relationships with cloud service providers, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Digital Ocean.
  • Advise staff on best practices for using cloud platforms and ensuring data security.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including hardware and software components.
  • Provide technical support for internal users regarding hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Install, configure, and maintain office computer systems and software applications.


Qualifications & Skills


Essential:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an IT & System Administrator.
  • Proficient in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and Digital Ocean.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience in cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure (DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP, VPN).
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity systems.
  • Proficient with common operating systems.
  • Experience with Cyber Essentials Certification and implementation.


Desired:

  • Knowledge of cloud compliance frameworks.
