JOB BRIEF:


Produce and manage an innovative Cultural Tech project in Manchester, working with major cultural stakeholders to deliver high-impact media content.


We’re seeking an experienced project producer / manager, avid about cultural content to help lead an innovative, music focused media project in Manchester. You’ll join a small, dynamic team, collaborating with leading cultural stakeholders to deliver high-quality outputs across tech, media production, training and Digital platforms.


SALARY: £30,000 negotiable + pension


JOB TYPE: Full time FTC 12-14 months


SPECIFIC DUTIES: 


Project Planning and Execution


  • Adapt and deliver the project work plan, revising as needed to meet evolving requirements. Ensuring regular evaluations and contingency measures.
  • Proactively manage and drive all operational aspects of the project daily: production, schedule sprints, balancing priorities, tracking progress.
  • Identify resources and assign responsibilities.
  • Coordinate team activities and new skills development / structured training planning.
  • Including hands-on engagement with training and production operations. 
  • Support the recruitment and selection of permanent and contract project resources as needed.
  • Develop and execute methods for project output engagement.
  • Maintain impeccable attention to detail and brand consistency.
  • Handle licensing agreements and ensure UK GDPR compliance.
  • Strong evaluation skills. 
  • Create risk reports and assessments, ensuring tasks have deadlines with contingencies.
  • Working with nominated representatives to ensure business benefits can be realised through the delivery of technical capability and content.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and properly stored.


Media Production


  • Have a very strong understanding of creative media project development, incorporating knowledge of development stages into operations.
  • Manage all aspects of media production, including pre-planning, scripting, storyboarding, live filming, interviews, and post-production. 
  • Working with web, video, audio, graphics and still images.
  • Good awareness of immersive tech developments.
  • Manage version and source control for media and tech projects.
  • Strong Social Media experience. 


Stakeholder Communication


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy with clear goals and plans.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
  • Lead the Digital marketing strategy.
  • Utilise strategic planning experience in journalism, marketing, or communications to enhance project marketing and promotion.
  • Ensure adherence to project management standards and processes.


Technical Skills


  • Strong proficiency with Google Drive, Microsoft Office, Windows, and macOS
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro for producing high-quality media.
  • Expertise in handling uncut rushes and sound, synchronising, and organising archives rigorously.
  • Very strong writing skills. 
  • Story telling.
  • Visual Design awareness. 
  • Awareness and experience of web and app production is an advantage.
  • Proficient in using task-based project management tools.


Financial Management


  • Manage financial forecasting, budget preparation, and expenditure scheduling. Analyse variances and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Monitor daily project financial operations, including expenses, invoicing, and transactions.
  • Submit detailed monthly project status reports to the Project Director and Coordinator.
